To be eligible for consideration under the refugee background admission scheme you must:
- Passed LAW 121G;
- Passed LAW 131 and LAW 141 (or their equivalents) with at least a C+;
AND - Gained at least 75 points (or the equivalent) of non-law university degree courses;
- Passed all eight courses (120 points) with at least an overall average GPA of 3.00 (C+);
- Be from a refugee background (either you or your parents/primary guardian(s) have been granted refuge in New Zealand);
- Submit an application for LLB Part II online through the ‘Apply Now’ function;
- Submit this form, together with your supporting document(s) and evidence of refugee status.
Deadline to submit both application for admission to LLB Part II and to be considered under UTAS: 1 October (1 December latest)
If your parent/guardian received refugee status, please provide documentation confirming your relation. If there has since been any name changes, please provide evidence of this.
Should your exam preparation and/or performance be impacted by extenuating or unforeseen circumstances, please apply for Aegrotat/Compassionate Consideration.
